Verzuz has been the viral sensation of 2020. Amidst protests and pandemic, the musical competition series has given fans new reason to celebrate legends of Hip-Hop and R&B. During a conversation on Fat Joe's Instagram Live, mogul Jermaine Dupri was posed the question of joining the series and battling none other than Sean "Diddy" Combs.
“So So Def, Bad Boy,” Joe asked Dupri. “Will we ever see that in a Verzuz? Or will we see So So Def versus somebody else?”
“Whatever the culture wants,” JD answered.
“Jermaine, you for the culture,” Joe went on. “But if the Verzuz come on and it’s live from ATL with the chandeliers. You would prefer you to be sitting in one chair and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sitting in the other?
“A hundred percent. We gonna break the fuckin’ internet,” Dupri said. “You know, the Internet is broken that day… That’s what people want to see. That’s the thing everybody keep talkin’ about.”
