Griselda’s Westside Gunn had quite a long weekend. The Yonkers emcee dropped the first half of his latest solo album and made an appearance at Kanye’s third Donda album listening event, promoting his feature on “Keep My Spirit Alive.” Side A of Hitler Wears Hermes 8: Sincerely Adolf dropped Friday night (August 27).
The album features some guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Boldly James, Conway The Machine, Steve God Cooks, and Benny The Butcher. The album was well-received by fans, some already calling the project an album-of-the-year contender. Although Gunn did not release any singles in support of it, the project became his first charting album.
"I love the PPL," Gun wrote to his Twitter followers. "Together, I’m so grateful let’s keep running these numbers up, this is the CULTURE." Gunn shared a post of his charting statistics on iTunes and Apple Music, getting as high as number 3 in Bermuda.
