Snoop Dogg has always been a die-hard Lakers fan. So you know the Doggfather was in high spirits after his team won its record 17th NBA championship this week as the Lake Show defeated the Miami Heat in six games.
The Lakers latest ring came in the aftermath of a trying season; the shocking and tragic death of Lakers legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna back in January, the season being suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic; and the ongoing struggle for racial equality cast a dark cloud over the 2019-2020 NBA season.
But when all was said and done, the Lakers persevered on the strength of all-world play from Finals MVP LeBron James and All-Star Anthony Davis. Snoop got ink to commemorate the team's championship, and the tat also pays homage to the late, great Kobe Bryant.
Snoop shared his latest body art on IG and shouted out the team.
"As you see, tat is done," Snoop says in his Instagram video. "KB on the bottom -- Kobe Bryant -- Larry O'Brien championship trophy with the Lakers going through the ball, gates of heaven up top. And it don't stop, Laker Nation. Thank y'all, Lakers, and thank you Mr. Cartoon in a real mother fucking way. We're the west and we're the best, fuck outta here."
