Youtube Originals has released the official trailer for their new Docuseries, “Ice Cold”. The four-episode series explores the extravagant world of hip-hop jewelry related to the deeper issues of racial inequality, classism, and the journey to the American Dream. The star-studded series includes appearances from Atlanta rap stars and executive producers, Migos, with some other notable names such as Slick Rick, Talib Kweli, Lil Baby, J Balvn, A Boogie, City Girls, A$AP Ferg, and Lil Yachty. The series also includes the game’s top celebrity jewelers Ben Baller, Eliantte, Johnny Dang, and IceBox, with more. The entire series of “Ice Cold” is set to premiere on Thursday, July 8, exclusively on MIGOS’ Youtube Channel.
“This series explores that concept through the story of hip-hop jewelry. It’s a deeper look at the construct of ’The American Dream’ and how hip-hop has redefined it through jewelry and creative expression,” said director Karam Gil. Hip-hop music has always told the story of the resilience of black and brown artists in our culture, “Ice Box” opens up the conversation for rappers to tell their jewelry stories.
“Ice Cold” is directed by Karam Gill and executive produced by MIGOS, Kevin “Coach K.” Lee, and Pierre “P” Thomas. The show is co-produced by Quality Films, Universal Music Group’s Mercury Studios, Polygram Entertainment, Mass Appeal, and MGX Creative.
