Nas is officially the co-owner of Escobar Cigars, a company he was previously invested in.
Nas has garnered quite the investment portfolio over the years. The Queens emcee has his hand in a plethora of different companies, including SeatGeek, PlutoTV, Dropbox, General Assembly, and Robinhood, making him one of hip-hop's most accomplished entrepenuaers.
Now, Nas is back with another colossal move, officially becoming the co-owner of the appropriately titled Escobar Cigars. Before stepping into the co-owner position, Nas was an investor in the tobacco company for the past three years.
"When the team at Escobar Cigars initially approached me, I was immediately drawn to the brand by the exceptional quality of their product,” Nas explained in a press release. “This partnership with Escobar has been almost two years in the making, and I am honored to be an equity partner with them.”
"I am looking forward to growing this brand and to giving back to the local communities in Nicaragua where our tobacco is grown, aged, and hand-rolled into a premium cigar," he continues.
Congratulations to one of hip-hop’s most prolific artists for stepping into another boss position as the co-owner of Escobar Cigars.
