Ludacris isn't mad about the DaBaby comparisons.
Ludacris recently interviewed with the Breakfast Club in promotion of his recent business ventures with Jif and the Fast & Furious franchise. Ludacris has been brought up in many conversations about his influence on today’s larger-than-life music video culture.
Radio personality, Charlemagne Tha God asked Luda about some of the comparisons he gets to Charlotte rapper, DaBaby, for their theatrical music videos and big personalities. “Lil Duval, I think I saw him speak about this... he said 'Dababy is the Ludacris of this generation,' what do you think about that?”
"I understand where Lil Duval was coming from," Ludacris said. “In terms of everything we're talking about-- having fun with your visuals, being playful, being slick with the lyrics, having subliminals-- I can understand where he's coming from."
Ludacris remains a staple of hip-hop. The Atlanta rapper, known for his witty one-liners and over-the-top antics, Luda always made it a point to stand out, influencing the way artists will create the visuals for their singles to this day. Here’s to giving Luda his flowers!
