Singer Kelly Price is reportedly missing in Georgia. The nine-time Grammy nominee has been listed as a missing person according to officials in Cobb County, near Atlanta.
According to TMZ, Price has not been seen since she was released from the hospital after battling COVID. Authorities found no evidence of foul play after speaking with Kelly's boyfriend who was reportedly at the singer's residence. However, Price is now listed as missing with the National Crime Information Center following a welfare check conducted at her home last Saturday.
Price posted an Instagram video on July 29 revealing she had COVID and was struggling with severe symptoms. Her family has said that she was admitted into the hospital roughly a week later. Price would end up in the ICU as her condition got worse, staying in touch with her family through early August. TMZ reports that her children visited "several times."
But three weeks after Price was admitted, Price's children got a call saying that she'd been discharged, surprising the family because she was not fully healthy.
Price has scored several R&B hits, including "Friend Of Mine," "Should've Told Me," and "You and Me" with LL COOL J.
There is an active investigation.
UPDATE
After reports that Kelly Price was listed as missing on Friday (Sept. 24), her attorney said she was safe and not missing.
Monica Ewing told TMZ that the singer was continuing treatment for COVID 19 at an undisclosed location and authorities have been informed that she has been accounted for.
Ewing reportedly also contacted Cobb County police to inform them that Price is safe; following the police department having declared the R&B star a missing person following a welfare check conducted at her home last Saturday.
