Some fans were disappointed after Kanye West failed to drop his 10th studio album, Donda, after his listening party last Thursday (July 22) in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The long-awaited album is dedicated to West’s late mother, Donda West. It is understood that Kanye, a perfectionist, wants to put together all the finishing touches before releasing it to his fans.
It was reported that West is currently living in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium until he finishes the album entirely. A representative of West said Monday (July 26) that West plans to stay in the stadium while he works on perfecting the album. It was announced that the album has been delayed until Friday, Aug. 6.
This is not unlike Kanye, as his last album, Yhandi, was delayed multiple times until the project was scrapped entirely; instead, he dropped his first gospel album, Jesus Is King, in 2019. Hopefully, his 10th studio album will see the light of day. Until then, we wait patiently.
