Kanye West Brings Out DaBaby, Marilyn Manson for 'DONDA' Event

Kanye West Brings Out DaBaby, Marilyn Manson for 'DONDA' Event

Kanye West hosted his third DONDA listening event Thursday night (August 26). The event was his most extravagant yet. Featuring appearances from DaBaby, Marilyn Manson, Travis Scott, and Kim Kardashian in a wedding dress, Kanye’s third Donda event was full of surprises.

Yeezy returned to his home of Chicago to reveal the most polished version of his upcoming 10th studio album to date. Kanye cleaned up the production, added some new tracks, and changed some guest appearances around to fans surprise. Charlotte rapper DaBaby replaced Jay-Z’s verse on the track, “Jail.” DaBaby addressed his recent controversy and backlash for his homophobic rant at Rolling Loud last month. Alt-metal icon Marilyn Manson also added some guest vocals to the hook of the track.

The event was a theatrical experience. The set imitates his childhood home with a cross on top of it. The album is dedicated to his late mother and has consistent themes of religion, repenting, and loss, making the project arguably his most personal one yet. The rapper ended the show with a veiled Kim Kardashian approaching the rapper in a wedding dress. After a public fallout and file for divorce, it seems as if the couple rekindled their relationship as they reenacted their wedding at Soldier Field in Chicago.

To nobody’s surprise, DONDA did not drop after the event was streamed. Still, with no official release date, we wait patiently.
