Jadakiss has been on the top of the world ever since the Verzuz battle between the LOX and Dipset earlier this year in New York City. The Yonkers emcee has many accolades and accomplishments throughout his prolific career, but it is clear he sees no end in sight. The LOX emcee has one collaboration he wanted to check off his bucket list to add to his catalog of classic singles.
In a snippet from the latest episode of HBO’s The Shop: Uninterrupted, the Yonkers legend gives a shoutout to emerging Maryland emcee, Cordae as he sat across from The Lost Boy rapper’s tennis star girlfriend, Naomi Osaka.
“I need to do something with Cordae,” Jadakiss says. “His mannerism is so cool, but his bars… he got them bars that puts him in an elite thing. And then, for you to be his significant other, he’s just so cool with it.”
He went as far as to ask the tennis superstar to help him line up a collaboration between himself and the emcee. “I’m gonna call in a favor for you to set me up to meet him, and… you know what I mean?” Kiss jokes. “I love him as a rapper, I think he’s super talented.”
In a behind-the-scenes clip on the set of the show, Jadakiss is heard asking Osaka for the favor again, admitting working with Cordae is on his “bucket list.”
“You’re incredible, I love you,” Kiss says as he walks past the four-time Grand Slam winner. “Let Cordae know he gotta get one with Kiss for my bucket list.”
What do you think about a collaboration between Cordae and the “top five dead or alive,” Jadakiss?
