The death of actor/wrestler Tommy "Tiny" Lister at age 62 has shocked the entertainment world. Lister starred in numerous films, such as The Dark Knight, the wrestling cult favorite No Holds Barred, the sci-fi hit Fifth Element, and Quentin Tarantino's crime drama Jackie Brown.
But his most famous role was undoubtedly as Deebo, the menacing neighborhood bully from 1995s classic stoner comedy Friday. Lister's Friday co-star Ice Cube tweeted his sadness over losing his longtime friend, who also appeared in that film's two successful sequels, Next Friday and Friday After Next.
"RIP Tiny 'Deebo' Lister. America’s favorite bully was a born entertainer who would pop into character at the drop of a hat terrifying people on and off camera. Followed by a big smile and laugh. Thank you for being a good dude at heart. I miss you already."
