Future will be headlining a benefit concert for Haiti on Friday (September 3)
Earlier this month, A massive 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti, becoming one of the deadliest natural disasters of the year. According to USA Today, the earthquake’s death toll has risen to about 2,207 people, with over 12,000 people injured and 50,000 homes destroyed.
Many rappers and celebrities have come forward, donating money and resources to Haiti’s relief efforts. Atlanta rapper, Future, has announced that he will be contributing to the cause as well.
Future has announced that he will be using his platform to perform a benefit concert in Miami’s Oasis Wynwood on September 3. The show will feature the “Thought it Was a Drought” rapper as headliner, also featuring “Lil Uzi & Friends,” insinuating some surprise guest performers at the benefit event.
Future announced the concert via Instagram, posting a graphic of a heart and the Haitian flag that read:
"I would love for all my friends, family, music industry, fashion, and all other industries, and people as a whole to stand up for Haiti. I want to use my voice to do whatever I can to support Haiti during these tragic times and will be doing a benefit concert on September 3rd in Miami. Tap in to support. - Pluto"
