Eminem's 2002 single “Without Me” surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube this week. To celebrate the comedic track's milestone, the rap superstar released a high-definition remaster of the music video.
The video was an MTV fixture in the early 2000s, and it features Em and Dr. Dre as Batman and Robin trying to prevent a kid from listening to the explicit version of Em's 2002 album The Eminem Show. And, per usual, Em uses the track to go off on a myriad of figures; from the FCC to Dick Cheney. All the while, he's boasting that all of the people who love to point the finger at Em would have empty lives "without me."
As the follow-up to 2000s uber-classic Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show was a part of Em's most acclaimed run of albums. The project was nominated for Album of the Year and won Best Rap Album and Best Music Video at the 2003 GRAMMYs.
