Drake Congratulates Meek Mill After Dropping New Album

In 2015, Drake and Meek Mill were rivals in one of the most provocative beefs in recent hip-hop history. Six years later, the two have settled their differences since sharing stages, working on music, and showing support for each other’s projects.

On Friday (October 1), Meek Mill released his fifth studio album, Expensive Pain; the project was highly anticipated after multiple singles, freestyles, and earning the  Nelson Mandela Changemaker Award. In celebration of the new project, the Philadelphia rapper’s former rival took to his Instagram story showing support, congratulating Meek on the release of his album.

"PAIN GETS EXPENSIVE AT MIDNIGHT," wrote Drake on Thursday evening, sharing Meek's album cover. "@meekmill proud of u boy since the Bahamas cook up we were plotting on the next chapter time to eat."

Meek recently spoke about his beef with Drake during an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, saying, "2019, I think my slowest year, me and Drake was beefing. I was at a disadvantage. He was winning in the eyes of the people. I still walked my way through that, went through prison, I had to go through something. Once I bounced back out, Championships. We had a pandemic, two years go by, few people fading away. We in 2021, I'm going to stand on Expensive Pain, I'm going to stand on my talent, and I'm going to remain confident and hope that people pay attention to what's going on because they got a long way to go. I'm trying to keep pushing."

We always want to see our favorite artists show each other love while giving each other their flowers. Congratulations, Meek Mill, on the new album. Make sure to stream Expensive Pain out now.
