Drake Confirms Release Date For 'Certified Lover Boy'

Drake’s long-awaited album Certified Lover Boy would officially be released Friday (September 3). The Toronto rapper confirmed the release date of his forthcoming album in an Instagram post on Monday morning (August 30). The Instagram post confirms the cryptic message aired on ESPN last week, hinting at the September 3 release date.


Last week, Drake took some shots aimed towards Kanye West, reigniting their decade-long beef, on Trippie Redd’s “Betrayal.”; “Ye ain’t changin’ shit for me, it’s set in stone,” Drake rapped. After Kanye released his long-awaited album, Donda, it seems that the two will go head-to-head for next week’s number 1 Billboard placement. 


Drake has been preparing fans for his upcoming sixth studio album since August 2020. After his Scary Hours 2 EP and a long features run with artists including Nicki Minaj, Smiley, Trippie Redd, Brent Faiyaz, and DJ Khaled.
