DMX has been hard at work on a new album. The legendary rhymer hasn't released an official album since 2015s Redemption Of The Beast, which was more of an unauthorized compilation released by Seven Arts Music. Nonetheless, X revealed that he's grabbed some major players for his first real project in several years.
During a recent appearance on NORE's “Drink Champs," X talked about the upcoming album.
“I got the Griselda boys, Pop Smoke. That’s what type of new I’m doing," X said. He talked about the late Pop Smoke further, who drew similarities to the Yonkers-born elder rapper with his sound.
“The growling was just a coincidence,” DMX said.
