DMC, Del Guest On MF DOOM and Czarface's 'Super What?'

MF DOOM's legacy is solidified in Hip-Hop, and the late Daniel Dumile's catalog is full of uniquely inspired collaborations. This week saw the release of SuperWhat? from DOOM and the collective Czarface (Wu-Tang’s Inspectah Deck, and Boston duo 7L & Esoteric). The final collaboration between DOOM and the rap supergroup features Hip-Hop luminaries such as Del, D.M.C., and Kendra Morris. The project was set to be released last year, but now serves as the first posthumous release from DOOM, who died in October 2020.

Czarface announced the project via Instagram.

"When COVID-19 struck and the world stopped, we chose to pull it, focus on family, and fine tune a few elements on it. What you’ll be hearing was finalized, mixed & mastered in the summer of 2020, and it’s our honor and privilege to share it with you Friday. I speak for everyone involved when I say we were incredibly fortunate to have collaborated with DOOM… he was a one-of-a-kind, never-to-be-duplicated emcee, producer, and visionary. We wish peace and healing to his family, friends and everyone touched by the gifts he shared with the planet. MF DOOM FOREVER."

Czarface and MF DOOM previously collaborated on 2018’s Czarface Meets Metal Face.
