Common Spits Freestyle At ‘L.A. Leakers’

Chicago rapper Common paid a visit to Power 106’s L.A. Leakers to give an 8-minute freestyle flaunting his lyrical acrobatics. The iconic emcee spit over the instrumentals of Raekwon’s “Incarnated Scarfaces” & Group Home’s “Livin Proof.” 


Common is set to drop his 14th studio album A Beautiful Revolution Pt. 2 this Friday (September 10), a follow up to last years A Beautiful Revolution Pt. 1, where the rapper reflects on the constant perils of the world, tackling subjects from the pandemic to the death of George Floyd. 


Common lit up the L.A. Leakers with his signature conscious lyrical style, clever wordplay, and witty one-liners. Common shouts out The Wu and Raekwon, referencing them in his freestyle over the “Incarcerated Scarfaces” instrumental rapping, “The witty unpredictable/every time this play give Rae his residuals/ 9 individuals.”
