Busta Rhymes Drops Video for "The Don & The Boss" With Vybz Kartel

Busta Rhymes has dropped a video for "The Don & The Boss," the first track released from Busta's highly-anticipated Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God.

"The Don & The Boss" dropped online in mid-August; and the visual comes on the heels of the song dropping ahead of the buzzed-about album's release. Fans are clamoring for details regarding the latest from Bussa Buss. Despite a leaked collaboration with Drake hitting the Web earlier in 2020, the veteran Hip-Hop star has been tight-lipped about the album. Nothing was official, up until the August release of a teaser starring Chris Rock that confirmed ELE 2 was indeed forthcoming. The album is Busta Rhymes' first studio release since 2012s Year Of the Dragon

The video for "The Don & The Boss" is directed by Benny Boom and is a study in alternate tones; opening with the seriousness of Vybz's 2014 trial and ending on the humor of popular Jamaican comic Majah Hype. Busta shows off his Jamaican roots on this winning team-up with Vybz; their chemistry having shone on the pre-trial collab "Wine & Go Down" from Year Of the Dragon, and likewise on 2017s "Girlfriend." Busta's patois-inflected bars and Vybz dancehall energy are a natural fit.

Throughout the video, Busta shows the ladies some love as he's surrounded by dancers gorgeously gyrating to the island vibes. There's a ton of praise on the hook for Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion for their infamous assets. Spliff Starr makes an appearance, and Hype gets to showcase his penchant for poking fun at Jamaican culture in the video's closing sketch.
