Wu-Tang affiliates and Brooklyn Zu members 12 O’Clock, and Murdock have passed away. 12 O’Clock’s son Divine Turner announced through his Instagram that his father was shot and killed in Portland, Oregon, on Tuesday morning (August 10).
Divine posts on his Instagram account, “I’m out of town away on business and just found out they murdered my father. I don’t know what to do.” he announced to his followers. “Sad day for me. They assassinated my father in #Oregon”
In a separate post, Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s son Young Dirty Bastard confirms the news adding that both 12 O’Clock and Murdock were fatally shot. The two Brooklyn rappers were cousins to the late Wu-Tang mainstay, ODB.
“RIP to my older cousins,” Young Dirty Bastard wrote in his post. “Rip 12 ‘Oclock. Rip Murdock. They were my father’s tightest blood bonds. My two older cousins was just assassinated. Love Yalllll. Blood Forever. Brooklyn Zu.”
Wu-Tang member Raekwon also mourned the death of his close collaborators in the post’s comment section. “Damn those my n**as. Damn,” he says under the Instagram caption.
According to Fox News 12, the shooting happened in Northeast Portland on Tuesday around 5:19 AM local time. It was confirmed that two people were killed in the incident, and three others were taken to the hospital for injuries.
Fox 12 says police are currently searching for the suspects in the shooting that may be connected to a string of shootings in the area earlier this week.
