Black Thought Drops<Br> 'Streams Of Thought, Vol. 3: Cain and Abel'

Black Thought has released his highly-anticipated album Streams Of Thought, Vol. 3: Cain and Abel

The Roots frontman has been promoting the release for months, he performed "Thought Vs. Everybody" on NPR's Tiny Desk series, and the project was expected to be out this summer. The tragic death of former Roots member Malik B led to Thought delaying things, but he offered fans big news this week.

On his IG, Thought posted a video offering the details surrounding Stream...: including its release date and features.

“Thank you for your patience,” he wrote earlier this week on Instagram. “The wait is over. Let’s go!”

The Last Artful Dodger, Schoolboy Q, Portugal. the Man, and C.S. Armstrong are al lfeatured. Back in August, Black Thought dropped "Good Morning" with Pusha T and Killer Mike, which is also from the project.

“On any given day, the space that I occupy in the world is somewhere between a Killer Mike and a Pusha T, between an activist and a street hero, a man of the people and a man of the streets — that’s my origin story," he told Variety. "I feel like both of their energies represent my own creative bipolarity.”

“It is a reintroduction. It speaks to an awakening," he said in August. "Plus, it’s a stellar lineup of features on one record — the level of dimension and different energy you get in one densely packed moment is unprecedented for the Roots and Black Thought up to this point. The energy of the production, whatever iconic thing it is that Swizz (Beatz) does elevating the chorus, juxtaposed with what Pusha T and Killer Mike bring to the equation… I felt as if it was a no-brainer.”
