Black Rob posted a video tribute to DMX shortly after X's death on April 9, and the video sparked an outpouring of concern for Rob, who was seen in a hospital bed in the video and seemed in dire straits.
Fans have been concerned about the former Bad Boy rapper's health. After he was discharged from the hospital, Black Rob posted a video on Instagram explaining his situation.
“Oh man, I’ve been dealing with this for five years,” a stressed-looking Rob said in his video. “Four strokes … I don’t know what to tell you man. Shit is crazy. This shit is hard. I don’t got no house to live in — except maybe an apartment. Me and my man be trying to get together. I’m telling you man, this shit is strange. It’s hard, you know what I’m saying?
“I don’t know what the people want to do, what the people going to say. I need some rest, man. Really, man. I need some rest. My side is killing me. Oh shit. I don’t want to talk about it no more.”
In his own IG video, former Bad Boy artist Mark Curry revealed that Rob is on dialysis. Curry addressed Puff and acknowledged that Combs has reached out.
“Puffy, we need your help and you are reaching out,” Curry says. “You’re trying to help. We’re not trying to say he’s not. He’s really trying to help.”
