50 Cent's 'Black Mafia Family' To Premier This Sunday

The premiere of Starz’ highly-anticipated drama series, Black Mafia Family, is finally right around the corner. The 50 Cent produced crime show premieres this Sunday (September 26), and fans could not be more excited. 


BMF is a crime-drama series based on the life and crime of the infamous Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry "Southwest T" Flenory, the team of brothers that would take over their city of Detroit and eventually start to gain power, recognition and, influence, not only in the streets but in hip-hop culture. The story is about family, capitalism, and the pursuit of the American dream. 


The show has some notable guest stars and appearances from hip-hop icons. LBC emcee Snoop Dogg appears in the show as the recurring character, Pastor Swift the show as well as longtime 50 Cent collaborator,Eminem making an appearance in the series as the notorious drug dealer turned FBI informant Richard “White Boy Rick” Wershe Jr. 


Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has a few successful shows under his belt, and it appears that BMF will be another hit to add to the Queens rapper and entrepreneur’s catalog. With his hit shows with the Power series and an upcoming hip-hop competition series, it seems that 50 made the transition from rapper to full-fledged Hollywood producer.
