50 Cent is becoming a highly decorated television executive with his relationship at Starz. After only one episode of his new series Black Mafia Family, which debuted last Sunday (September 26), BMF has been green-lit for a second season, as reported by Deadline.

“After the first episode breaks all premiere records on the network, sure you’ll get a season 2 yeah, don’t worry be happy,” 50 wrote to Instagram after the news broke on Thursday (September 30).

The debut of the crime-drama series broke records on Starz as it earned the No. 1 premiere spot on the Starz app, as the show's pilot was,“one of the most highly engaged series premieres ever,” says Deadline.

“Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson continues to find and cultivate stories like BMF that are culturally relevant, bringing the network important untold stories that are incredibly diverse both in front of and behind the camera,” Starz CEO Jeffrey Hirsch says. “Following such a strong debut, we’re excited to see what Curtis, Randy, and the award-worthy cast deliver in the second season.”

The series follows the life of brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory as they build their crime empire notoriously known as the Black Mafia Family.
